Stage is a board game inspired by William Shakespeare's monologue 'All the World is a Stage' from 'As You Like It'. 2 Players compete on the stage by becoming figures that represent 7 stages of life, from the infant to the corpse.
I imagine this game to be played between family members, creating a conversation and an emphatic relation between different different stages of life.
The board is made of solid maple, similar to an Ouroboros, representing a circular time experience where death and birth constantly come after each other.
Glass pieces are handmade with lamp working technique. As they get “older”, they lose transparency. Central piece is made of solid walnut and the die is made of bronze.
